What to Expect This Year
The highly anticipated Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix spans over three thrilling days of high-speed action, commencing in early May. Friday, May 5th marks the beginning of the event with drivers taking to the Miami International Autodrome for practice sessions. Located around the iconic Hard Rock Stadium, this cutting-edge circuit boasts three straightaways and a 3.36-mile, 19-turn track, where the fastest cars in the world are expected to reach an exhilarating top speed of almost 200 miles per hour.

Saturday, May 6th, promises even more excitement with additional practice and qualifying rounds. Finally, Sunday is the pinnacle of the event, featuring the main race, alongside exclusive parties and events. Miami serves as the fifth race of the 23-race season, which starts in Bahrain and navigates through some of the most prestigious destinations in the world, including Monaco, Great Britain, and Singapore, before culminating in Abu Dhabi.
Top drivers from around the world, including defending champion Max Verstappen, young phenom Lando Norris, and the legendary seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, will compete in a thrilling head-to-head battle to determine who will come out on top. One of the most thrilling additions to the 2023 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix is the Team Village, which will be located on the football field inside Hard Rock Stadium. This is where the drivers, pit crews, and other members of the racing teams will be based throughout the weekend.
Guests will have the unique opportunity to get a bird's-eye view of the behind-the-scenes action from the stadium's 300 level. The viewing deck will be open to all ticketholders and Campus Pass holders and will remain open for the duration of the event.
Tickets Types
Due to the high demand that led to a quick sell-out of the 2022 race, the organizers have increased the capacity for this year's event to 56,000 attendees. This expansion includes the addition of 3,000 new grandstand seats, 61 hospitality suites, and two luxurious clubs – The Vista at Turn 1 and The Boathouse at MIA Marina.
Additionally, a new three-day general admission Campus Pass has been introduced, allowing passholders to enjoy track-side viewing areas similar to grounds passes in tennis.
The eight grandstands along the track offer a variety of viewing experiences. The Start/Finish Line and Turn 1 Grandstands provide excellent views of the race. The Turn 18 Grandstand offers a unique perspective from the pits and overlooks three turns along the course's busiest stretch. For families, the new Family Grandstand located between turns 10 and 11 provides a kid-friendly experience.
For those who want to enjoy food and drinks while watching the race, the Marina Grandstand is a great option, providing access to the Marina area filled with food, cocktails, and large screens showing the race. Each grandstand will also have its own "fan zone" featuring local restaurants and drinks. While Campus Pass holders will have access to the Marina area, access to the yachts parked there is not included.
For a VIP experience, the race offers several hospitality tents, including the upgraded and expanded Paddock Club with prime views of pit lane and the Start/Finish Line. The 72 Club, typically reserved for football games, has been transformed into an F1 viewing lounge. The MIA Hospitality Club and Village return this year, as do the premium seats in the Veranda Club offering simultaneous views of Turn 3 and a long straight. New hospitality spaces are also available at The Vista at Turn 1 and The Boathouse at MIA Marina.

Ticket Prices
As of this early March, tickets for the 2023 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix are still available across various levels. All eight grandstand areas have seats available, with prices starting at approximately $750 for a three-day pass. Campus passes are also available, with prices starting at $590 for the entire weekend.
If you're looking for a more luxurious experience, suites, clubs, and other premium experiences are available but must be booked by appointment.
Important Reminders
If you're new to the race but have already secured tickets, here are a few important things to note:
Miami Gardens, where the race takes place, is approximately 15 miles north of Downtown Miami. During peak traffic times, it can take up to 45 minutes to an hour to reach Miami Gardens from Downtown Miami.
Limited on-site parking is available for those in hospitality tents. However, grandstand ticket holders will have to park in satellite lots and take shuttles to the track.
Rideshares are available to and from the stadium, but they typically pick up and drop off at Norwood Elementary School, which is a 15- to 20-minute walk from the track.
