The Bass Opens Rotunda Satellite Gallery in Collins Park
The Bass Museum of Art has launched The Rotunda, a new satellite gallery in Collins Park that offers free admission year round, adding a dedicated space for large-scale and immersive installations in Miami Beach.
Located near the museum’s main building, The Rotunda builds on the institution’s use of public space to present contemporary art and site-specific projects. The circular structure provides a flexible environment for installations that respond to both its architecture and the surrounding Collins Park campus.
The Bass has released architectural renderings and archival materials tracing the Rotunda’s history and recent renovation, and has produced the following video offering insight into the newly transformed space.
The Rotunda currently features projects from the museum’s collection and will host rotating installations aligned with major exhibitions and citywide cultural events. Additional information about the new gallery, including visiting hours and featured works, is available on The Bass website.
