The Bass Museum of Art will present its Art Outside Annual Picnic on Saturday, March 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Collins Park, offering a free afternoon of art activities, live music and community programming.

Visitors are invited to bring their own picnic setups, with prizes planned for the most creative, chic or Miami Beach themed arrangements. The event will feature hands on art making inspired by the museum’s exhibitions, led by The Bass Creativity Center and Teen Board, with projects developed in collaboration with Paloma Arts Inc and Everybody Draw Everybody.
Programming will include music performances by Bop Shop Brass and DJ SAMIHEAD, as well as activations from Raw Figs, Backgammon Social and Cut and Destroy Miami. Community group We Met in Miami is scheduled to host a meetup during the event.

Guests can RSVP online for the Art Outside Annual Picnic, which is supported by the Art Bridges Foundation’s Access For All program with additional backing from Go 2 Events.
On the same afternoon, The Bass Museum of Art will open The Rotunda, a new satellite gallery in Collins Park that will offer free admission throughout the year.
Attendees to the picnic are invited to visit The Rotunda webpage for additional information about the gallery and opening details.

Ahead of the event, visitors may preorder a signature picnic bag for two from the museum’s onsite Café at The Bass, operated by Unique Catering Design. The tote includes charcuterie, cookies, flowers and beverages designed to accompany the March 28 program. Orders can be placed through the café website while supplies last.
