SURREAL NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

APR 30 | 8 - 11 PM


We are excited to announce The Bass’ annual members-only extravaganza, Night at The Museum!


Join us on April 30 from 8 – 11 PM as we dream and dance in the unconscious for a fantastical one-night-only evening in the aquatic, Surreal Night at The Museum.


Inspired by the iconic surrealism art movement of the twentieth century, the museum transforms with unique art, music, stylish fashion and delightful culinary activations, Come as You Art! Guests bring the surreal theme to life by donning their most dazzling attire.


The Bass’ signature fundraiser is open to museum members at the Affiliate level and above. Plus, members enjoy additional benefits including free admission, invites to private curator talks, discounts, advance registration and more!

NEW MONUMENTS CLOSING GATHERING

BRUNCH AT THE BASS

Join Barbara London in a conversation where we will discuss the work of artists who have consistently engaged with new technologies.


From pioneering activists Nam June Paik and Dara Birnbaum, to Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Alex Israel, and Naama Tsabar, London will reflect upon the insightful ways these artists inspire.

NAAAMA TSABAR

TWILIGHT (GAFFER WALL) 2006/2021


In Twilight (Gaffer Wall), 2006/2021, Naama Tsabar brings the backstage to the center stage.


Gaffer tape is a utilitarian material often associated with unseen backstage labor. Tsabar uses gaffer tape from the floor to a wall where it becomes the focus, a kind of night veil and transitional piece from Melodies of Certain Damage to Inversions.

FAMILY DAY RECAP

Last weekend, guests joined us for a fun-filled Family Day at The Bass!


Guests enjoyed art making for all ages led by Bass educators, special pop-up performances by the Miami Children's Chorus, and an exhibition by students that participated in Miami Beach’s STEAM+ program.

SPRING ART CAMPS

MAR 21 - 25


Ignite your child's artistic creativity by registering them for Spring Art Camps at The Bass Creativity Center!


Campers will use their unique creativity to make one-of-a-kind projects designed by teaching artists and learn through fun, hands-on art activities in sculpture, painting, design and more. All camps end the week with a student exhibition.
