The Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach has unveiled a slate of new offerings for the coming months, including an expanded Art Pop-Up at The Shop, a new café partnership, major contemporary art exhibitions, winter art camps for children, and a special South Beach Jazz Festival concert and VIP reception.
Art Pop-Up At The Shop
The Shop at The Bass has been transformed into its largest Art Pop-Up to date, now extended through December 28. The concept space features works by more than 30 artists alongside a curated selection of one-of-a-kind gifts, design objects, and books.
Conceived as more than a traditional museum store, the Art Pop-Up invites visitors to experience art up close and engage with objects that carry personal and cultural stories. Every detail is curated to turn the act of buying into an immersive encounter that blends creativity, design, and conversation.
The initiative is presented by Studio AF with generous support from Rehaus and Topo Chico.

New Café Partnership
Unique Catering Design has assumed operations at The Bass Café, bringing a new culinary partner to the museum. The café offers a menu designed to complement visitors’ time at the museum, from light bites to heartier options.
Guests can choose from items such as croissants, a range of sandwich selections, and warm meals paired with cafecito, providing a convenient stop before or after exploring the galleries at Miami Beach’s contemporary art museum.
Photography documenting the new café experience is by Salar A.

Lawrence Lek: NOX Pavilion
The exhibition "Lawrence Lek: NOX Pavilion" is now on view at The Bass through April 26, 2026. The presentation centers on the artist’s explorations of technology, artificial intelligence, and speculative futures.
London-based artist Lawrence Lek (b. 1982) creates computer-generated films, sculptural installations, video games, and sound pieces that are combined into immersive story worlds. His practice imagines possible futures shaped by technologies that increasingly influence everyday life.
At the center of Lek’s work are intelligent machines—self-driving cars, AI programs, and robotic figures—depicted as protagonists with memories, desires, and complex inner lives, rather than as purely functional tools.
The exhibition is curated by Claudia Mattos, Associate Curator of New Media Art, and is funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation New Media Initiative.
More information about NOX Pavilion is available on The Bass website.
Jack Pierson: The Miami Years
The Bass is presenting "Jack Pierson: The Miami Years," on view through August 16, 2026. The exhibition is the first dedicated to examining Miami’s transformative impact on Pierson’s life and artistic practice.
Focusing on the artist’s time in South Beach, the show traces how the area’s sunlit landscape and queer nightlife offered respite from the pressures of his New York City base. The freedom afforded by inexpensive apartments and thrift-store discoveries contributed to the sense of wanderlust and escapism that runs through Pierson’s work.
The exhibition is curated by James Voorhies, Curator at Large. It is made possible with generous support from Lisson Gallery and Regen Projects, as well as the Miami-Dade County Tourist Development Council, the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs, The Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners, and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation New Media Initiative.

Participants work with teaching artists on one-of-a-kind projects and hands-on activities across sculpture, painting, design, and other art forms, encouraging creative expression and skill-building in a supportive environment.
