The Bass Ball Kaleidoscopic Gala Honors Arts Patron Cathy Vedovi in Miami Beach

The Bass Museum of Art hosted its annual black-tie benefit, The Bass Ball: Kaleidoscopic, on Thursday, January 29, 2026. The gala honored Cathy Vedovi, a prominent collector and designer who serves as the Chair of the museum’s Collection Committee. Vedovi, who has a century-long family connection to Miami, was recognized for her vision and continued impact on the cultural landscape of the city.

The event theme drew inspiration from the museum’s current exhibition, The Kaleidoscopic: Writing Histories Through the Collection, which examines the multifaceted nature of storytelling in art. Guests participated in the theme through artful fashion and attire as they gathered for an evening of fine dining and music.

Entertainment for the evening included smooth jazz by saxophonist Manuel Echazabal and a performance by DJCLAUDIOF, the resident DJ at Casa Tua.
