The Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach has announced a full slate of March programs and recently opened exhibitions, ranging from artist dialogues and workshops to an annual community picnic and youth-focused events.

During its Third Thursday programming on March 19, the museum will host a public conversation with sculpture and installation artist Kennedy Yanko, whose large-scale works combine found metal and paint skin and draw on Abstract Expressionism and related movements. The dialogue will be moderated by writer and curator Tom Healy and will examine the physical and performative aspects of Yanko’s practice and her approach to material and form.
Among the month’s public programs, The Bass will present a workshop titled “How to Get Lost & Loiter,” led by Stephanie Silver, that uses psychogeographic walking and sculpture to explore participants’ emotional responses to the urban environment. The museum’s “Art Outside” annual picnic at Collins Park on March 28 will offer free art-making activities, live music and community activations, while a Teen Art Exhibition with the theme of “Time” will spotlight work by young artists at The Bass Creativity Center. Additional offerings include Spring Art Camps for children, the Bass Babies weekly program for toddlers and caregivers, and the museum’s participation in the Youth Music Festival at the Miami Beach Bandshell.
New and ongoing exhibitions at The Bass include “Jack Pierson: The Miami Years”, on view through August 16, 2026, which traces the impact of Miami on the artist’s life and work, and “The Kaleidoscopic: Writing Histories Through the Collection”, a reinstallation of the permanent collection that presents the museum’s holdings as a shifting, multivocal archive. Both exhibitions are supported by foundation and institutional partners and continue the museum’s focus on contemporary art and new media.
More information on programs and exhibitions is available on The Bass website and through individual event listings with options to register or RSVP.
