A taste of Miami heat is headed north as Taste of Tennis returns to New York to celebrate 25 years of tennis and culinary excellence. The annual kickoff to tennis season takes place Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Aqua New York in Manhattan’s Flatiron District.
What began as a bold idea by Judi and Penny Lerner has evolved into a staple pre-US Open event, drawing tennis stars, fans, and food lovers alike. This year’s celebration marks a milestone for the Lerner duo, who launched the event a quarter-century ago and have seen it grow into a must-attend experience blending sport and cuisine.
“The Taste has become the event for players, fans, and insiders to gather, enjoy incredible cuisine, and celebrate tennis in the Big Apple,” said Penny Lerner, CEO of AYS Sports Marketing.
The 2025 edition will be hosted at Aqua, a 17,000-square-foot venue that merges Japanese and Italian culinary traditions across its three unique spaces: Aqua Kyoto, Aqua Roma, and Aqua Spirit. The venue has quickly become a premier destination for high-profile events and now adds Taste of Tennis to its résumé.
“It’s an honor to be the host venue,” said David Yeo, CEO of Aqua Restaurant Group. “We’re passionate about creating experiences that celebrate the synergy of food, entertainment, and community.”
Guests will enjoy signature dishes, premium cocktails, and a chance to mingle with tennis pros and rising stars. Notably, tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou will offer an exclusive experience for VIP ticket holders, sharing insights from his book, Champion Mindset.
Main event tickets are $515. Sponsors include Maestro Dobel Tequila, Segafredo Zanetti, Heineken, and Chef Works. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the official Taste of Tennis website or follow @tasteoftennis on social media.
