Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co. Partners with Shelborne South Beach to Debut ‘Sweet Beach’ Pop-Up

Award-winning neighborhood bar, Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co., is debuting a first-of-its-kind concept flip pop-up, Sweet Beach, in the expansive beachfront backyard of the iconic oceanfront Shelborne South Beach. Opening New Year’s Eve, December 31st, Sweet Beach offers guests the absolute best of all of Sweet Liberty, in a comfortable palm tree-lined outdoor setting within the Shelborne South Beach’s Oasis Garden, complemented by delicious world-class cocktails, a locally-inspired food menu, and a light ocean breeze. Residing on South Beach's most stunning waterfront playground, only two blocks away from Sweet Liberty’s beloved home base, the pop-up is devoted entirely to providing guest's a safe space with the utmost comfortability.


“In true Sweet Liberty fashion, with our never-ending goal to pursue happiness, we wanted to give our patrons a really great place that they can feel entirely comfortable coming to and spending the day or night at,” said Dan Binkiewicz, local restaurateur and partner in Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Company. “Sweet Beach is just that. It’s a safe haven for those that simply feel more comfortable being outdoors in these unprecedented times. Unapologetically, Sweet Beach was created for the people by the people. It’s safe and fun for all - families, kids, etc. Everyone and their grandmothers are invited to join us at the new Sweet Beach!”

Sweet Beach invites guests to experience the ultimate tropical version of Sweet Liberty, promising to bring uniquely chic tropical vibes to every aspect of the pop-up, including its creative cocktails by creative director Naren Young and the award-winning bar team behind Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co.. All food and beverage items are brand-new creations; think, Sweet Liberty classics meet tropically-infused variations at the new Sweet Beach. Several new signature cocktails guests can look forward to include the Queen’s Park Swizzle: Havana Club rum, peach, fresh lime, torn mint, Moscato D’Asti, Perrier lime; Lychee & Cucumber Cooler: Grey Goose vodka or Bombay Sapphire, St. Germain, fresh cucumber juice, cucumber bitters, pressed lemon, Perrier cucumber soda; and the South Beach Spritz: Grey Goose vodka, martini fiero, martini blanco, passionfruit, sparkling rose, orange blossom.


With easy boardwalk access, guests can enter the space directly from the beach walk that borders the botanical space on the Shelborne South Beach’s exotic oceanfront exterior. The pop-up offers guests an active space to enjoy activities and family-friendly games, including corn hole, ping pong, life-sized checkerboards, Jenga blocks, and more, creating an idyllic backdrop for guests to comfortably spend the day outside mingling and playing lawn games, while enjoying a meal and refreshing cocktails.


“In these times, it’s also important to us that we’re all continually striving to help one another, support one another, and just doing the best that we can for each other,” said Josh Wagner, partner in Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Company. “We could have popped up anywhere, but we intentionally chose to stay close and partner with The Shelborne South Beach, a community-driven neighborhood hotel, within just walking distance from our Sweet Liberty, which also gives our guests the opportunity to start at Sweet Liberty and end up at Sweet Beach if they’re up to it.”

Sweet Liberty’s team will curate the music and programming, bringing an inspired mixture of entertainment, DJ’s, and lively weekend activations for guests of all ages, accommodating everything from larger outdoor gatherings to intimate date nights and holiday social happenings. A large inflatable screen will broadcast a variety of different sporting events, concerts, and an array of diverse offerings, encouraging the continuation of neighborhood events in the safest way possible. Guests can also look forward to Sunday barbeque throwdowns at Sweet Beach

Sweet Beach will be open Thursdays & Fridays from 4 p.m. to midnight and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to midnight. The Sweet Beach pop-up runs through summer 2021.
