Surf Row Residences Pledges $1 Million to Revitalize Surfside’s 88th Street and Public Park

The developers behind Surf Row Residences, a new luxury condominium project in Surfside, have committed $1 million toward transforming 88th Street and the adjacent public park. The contribution—announced by LD&D in partnership with ONE Capital and IGEQ—will fund a comprehensive streetscape and park improvement plan aimed at enhancing the pedestrian experience and community environment.

Plans include the installation of pedestrian-friendly pavers, lush landscaping, and a new architectural landmark at the corner of 88th Street and Collins Avenue. The fluted stone structure with an integrated water feature will mark the gateway to the neighborhood and improve walkability from Harding Avenue to the beachfront. These enhancements are designed to integrate seamlessly with the future Champlain Memorial.

In addition to streetscape improvements, a portion of the funds will be directed toward upgrading Veterans Park, including the community tennis courts. The initiative will also offer tennis lessons for residents, providing a tangible connection between public amenities and the new development.

“Surfside isn’t just where we’re building — it’s a community we’re actively contributing to,” said Alejandro Bonet, managing partner of LD&D. “This effort reflects our belief that great design should extend beyond the property line, bringing lasting value to neighbors and future residents alike.”

The Surf Row Residences will include 24 luxury condominiums ranging from one to three bedrooms, with interiors spanning 894 to 2,004 square feet. The development will feature 6,400 square feet of resort-style amenities and is located steps from Surfside’s town center and the ocean. Sales are managed exclusively by ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.
