School’s out and the fun is on! CityPlace Doral is Miami’s summer playground, with free, family-friendly events – all summer long.
CityPlace Doral – South Florida’s premier wellness, entertainment, dining and restaurant destination – is teaming up with RECREA to host Family Fun Fridays once a month at the Fountain Plaza. Each month, families will enjoy a lively dance party with different themes, a live DJ, entertainment, interactive games and more fun activities for the entire family to enjoy.
The full lineup includes:
Friday, June 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. – Summer Kick-Off: Large inflatable headphone DJ booth, stilt walker performers and a performance by an entertainment team.
Friday, July 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. – Soccer Fest: Inflatable soccer field, penalty shoot, foosball table, Messi, Ronald Mbappe and other costumed characters for photo opportunities.
Friday, August 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. – Back-to-School: Interactive games and a performance by an entertainment team.
Other family-friendly activities at CityPlace Doral include Marina Kids, a magical indoor park offering a playground, soft-play, VR motion station, arcade, PS4/Nintendo Switch Station and entertaining fun games that lets children’s imagination run wild in a safe, fun and friendly environment; CMX CinéBistro, a world-class “dinner and a movie” concept offering an elevated movie-going experience; Kings Dining & Entertainment with timeless social gaming including Ten Pin Bowling, Billiards, Shuffleboard, Air Hockey, Foosball and more; andEscapology, the world’s No. 1 rated live escape room offering a unique, story-driven immersive, and always private escape rooms where players are gathered inside a themed room and must complete their mission before time runs out.
After a day of family fun, guests can grab a bite at one of CityPlace Doral’s restaurants, including Carrot Express,Oakberry, BurgerFi, Tap 42 , Cooper’s Hawk, Juan Valdez, Copper Blues Rock Pub and Kitchen, SuViche or Novecento. Or cool down at Sloan’s Ice Cream, a whimsical ice cream wonderland for the young and the young at heart. Relive the excitement of being a kid in a candy store with Sloan’s locally handmade super premium ice cream with no added artificial flavors and colors, fresh baked brownies and cookies, succulent dipped apples, exquisite selection of bulk candies, and an exciting array of toys and merchandise.
Guests can also enjoy CityPlace Doral’s whimsical summer art installation. Upon entering the Center, visitors will be greeted by a stunning display of hundreds of colorful kites, each beautifully decorated with pink, yellow and blue butterflies, fluttering high above the boulevard, creating an Instagram-worthy paradise.
As an extension of The Oasis experience, guests will experience photo moments in The Fountain Plaza with large, life-sized butterfly wings and illuminated flowers. The lively and festive flowers display vibrant colors during the day and illuminate during the night.
The Oasis experience at CityPlace Doral’s Fountain Plaza features a relaxing, open-air atmosphere for friends and family to enjoy grab-and-go bites from CityPlace Doral’s restaurants. The Oasis incorporates Adirondack chairs, tables, umbrellas and oversized games such as Chess, Cornhole, Connect Four and more.
Visitors are encouraged to snap a selfie and tag @CityPlaceDoral with the hashtag #KitesOverCityPlaceDoral for a chance to be featured on the Center’s social media channels. The kites will be on display through July 31.
