Subaru of Pembroke Pines to Host a Pet Shelter Supply Drive
In the wake of Hurricane Ian’s devastating destruction in Southwest Florida, Subaru of Pembroke Pines will be hosting a pet shelter supply drive sponsored by Subaru of America. Municipal shelters and Humane Societies in both DeSoto and Lee Counties were hardest hit by the hurricane and are urgently seeking a number of items. Subaru will be collecting supplies and transporting them directly to the shelters in need.
All month, Subaru of Pembroke Pines will be collecting cat food, dog food, and pet toys to assist the hundreds of shelter animals displaced by Hurricane Ian and the shelters that are taking them in.
Donations will be accepted Oct. 17 – Nov. 11 during normal business hours at Subaru of Pembroke Pines. Donation boxes will be placed in the middle of the showroom. Items in need include:
Cat food
Dog food
Treats
Toys
Bowls, etc.
Additionally, Subaru of Pembroke Pines will be participating in the Miami Auto Show, where donations will also be collected. A donation area will be set up outside the Miami Auto Show near the ticket booths. Times for donation drop offs include:
Saturday, October 15 – 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday, October 16 – 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
October is Subaru Loves Pets Month. The Subaru Loves Pets initiative is dedicated to improving the safety and well-being of animals in communities and getting animals out of shelters and into loving homes. This shelter supply drive will bring great relief to animals that were impacted by Hurricane Ian. Subaru is proud to make a difference in the community and come to the aid of these shelters.
