STING Tops $5M Make-A-Wish Ball in Miami
Global superstar Sting helped raise over $5 million dollars at the 28th Annual InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish® Ball, where he performed a selection of chart-topping hits like "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" and "Message in a Bottle" as well as a spine-tingling finale with the timeless classic, "Every Breath You Take" for Ball guests. He dedicated the performance to the kids with critical illnesses and praised the work that Make-A-Wish® does around the world. The evening was hosted by actress and filmmaker Gabrielle Anwar ("Burn Notice" and "Scent of a Woman"), marking her 12th consecutive year as the celebrity emcee for the Ball chaired by her husband and philanthropist extraordinaire, Shareef M. Malnik. Other celebs include Karolina Kurkova, Fat Joe, Naeem Khan, Alonso Mourning, Mayor Francis Suarez, Ana Navarro, and Romero Britto. Nine hundred (900) Ball guests were welcomed by Glenn Sampert, Gala Host of the InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish® Ball; Shareef M. Malnik, Gala Chair of the InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish® Ball for the past 18 years; and Norman Wedderburn, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida. The official after-party, Le Gogo Paris Cabaret: The InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish® Nightclub presented by E11EVEN Miami, was held immediately following the Ball at InterContinental® Miami and was headlined by multi-platinum-selling artist Fat Joe, who performed a selection of his mega songs for Nightclub guests. His show-stopping set had the crowd on their feet with hits including "What's Luv" and "Lean Back." The Nightclub presented a sizzling cabaret show featuring the burlesque talents of E11EVEN Theatrics with additional performances by Undercover, AUDIOPIPE, and Joshua Tree.
