Miami-Dade County will host the 17th Annual State of the Arts in Miami-Dade County Address on Thursday, February 12, 2026, bringing together business, government, civic and cultural leaders for a comprehensive status report on the county’s cultural landscape.

The 2026 State of the Arts in Miami-Dade County Address will be delivered by Brian E. May, Chairman of the Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs Council. The event is scheduled for Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Stephen P. Clark Government Center, County Commission Chamber, located at 111 Northwest First Street, Second Floor, Miami, FL 33128.
Guests are requested to be seated by 9:45 a.m. Refreshments will be served on the third floor terrace level immediately following the address. Space is limited and advance registration is required. The State of the Arts Address provides an annual update on cultural developments, priorities and opportunities across Miami-Dade County. The gathering convenes leaders from the arts sector alongside representatives from business, government and civic organizations to review the progress and challenges shaping the local cultural ecosystem.
This year’s address continues a 17-year tradition of reporting on the state of arts and culture in the county, with an emphasis on cultural excellence, diversity, access and participation for residents and visitors.

The event is organized by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and its volunteer advisory board, the Cultural Affairs Council, with the support of the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
The Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council work to develop cultural excellence, diversity, access and participation throughout Miami-Dade County by strategically creating and promoting equitable opportunities for artists, cultural organizations and the audiences they serve.
