Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation welcomed Stanley Cup champion Aleksander “Sasha” Barkov back to the Children’s Hospital on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
For the first time since winning the NHL title, the Florida Panthers captain Sasha Barkov returned, with the Stanley Cup, to meet with patients and present a check for more than $106,000 to the children’s hospital’s nonprofit foundation. The dollars are the most recent to be donated from the hockey star’s ongoing #BarkovScores4JoeD giving campaign. With the contribution from the 2023-24 season, Barkov has now donated $420,000 to assist ‘Joe D.’ kids and families since 2019.
