South Florida’s creative scene is gathering this spring with the highly anticipated return of the South Florida Film Forum March 28–29 at MAD Arts in Dania Beach. The dynamic two-day celebration of storytelling, innovation and industry connection is produced by the White Elephant Group in partnership with Broward County, Film Lauderdale and MAD Arts.

The Forum has quickly become one of the most exciting cultural gatherings for filmmakers, actors, producers, writers and other creative professionals throughout South Florida and beyond.

This year’s edition expands upon last year’s momentum with an even more ambitious lineup of speakers and hands-on experiences from top names in film and television — connecting the region’s creative workforce with the decision-makers shaping what we soon see on screen.

Event highlights include:

  • Industry Panels – Conversations with executives and creatives from Amazon MGM Studios, FOX, Disney, Warner Bros., Blumhouse and more.

  • Immersive Workshops – From practical horror VFX to costume-design techniques, attendees will get rare hands-on insights into filmmaking craft.

  • Networking + Mixers – A full weekend of opportunities to connect with both South Florida talent and visiting industry professionals.

  • Local Voices on Stage – The Forum actively showcases area filmmakers, designers, producers and storytellers across multiple sessions.

A standout workshop includes a hands-on Horror VFX workshop, where local creatives learn practical special effects techniques usually reserved for studio sets — a true behind-the-scenes look at genre filmmaking craft. Another fan-favorite session focuses on the art of distressing costumes for film, bringing garments to life with authentic, character-driven detail.

Making Connections, Craft & Career Growth

What sets the South Florida Film Forum apart is its balance of industry strategy and artistic exploration. Attendees can break into sessions covering everything from film financing and global incentives to acting technique, character development and the future of TV, providing real, actionable tools for all stages of a filmmaking career.

Whether you’re an aspiring director, experienced producer, actor, cinematographer or creative professional, the Forum isn’t just another industry event — it’s a space where community, craft and commerce come together to build lasting opportunity.
