South Beach Jazz Honors & Awards Brunch Presented by Power Access

Power Access is proud to present the annual South Beach Jazz Honors & Awards Brunch on May 18 from 11AM – 2PM, recognizing outstanding local students with disabilities for excellence in music and the arts. This inspiring event is part of the South Beach Jazz Festival and celebrates the next generation of artists and changemakers.

Enjoy a live performance by the Nicole Yarling 4-Tet, special guest appearances, and a showcase of talent from our scholarship recipients. A buffet brunch will be provided by YUCA 105—Miami Beach’s first Cuban-Peruvian fusion restaurant.

We’re proud to award scholarships to four talented young students with disabilities, supporting their futures in music and the arts.

Christopher Bedrossian - Excellence in Music

Nominated by Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

A talented blind guitarist, Christopher is celebrated for his skill, passion, and dedication to music. His performances inspire and showcase the power of perseverance and artistry.

Nakia Hawkins - Excellence in the Arts

Nominated by The Arsht Center and Barbara Goleman Senior High School.

Nakia is a passionate student leader and artist, balancing academics, community service, and the arts. From theater and dance to creative writing and photography, she brings creativity and dedication to everything she does.

Mark Nunez - Excellence in the Arts

Nominated by Area Stage.

Mark, a 14-year-old actor with autism, brings passion and dedication to every role he plays. Through standout performances and leadership in the Inspire Theater Project, he showcases the talent and impact of neurodiverse artists in the world of theater.

Daniel Brown - Excellence in Music

Nominated by Goodwill Industries of South Florida.

A dedicated vocalist and dancer, Daniel shines as a longtime member of the Spirit of Goodwill Band. His passion, resilience, and vibrant presence have made him a cherished part of the group and an inspiration to all who see him perform. Let’s come together to honor these incredible students and celebrate the power of music, creativity, and community.

Tickets are $125. A portion of each ticket supports Power Access scholarships and inclusive youth programming in the arts.

Proceeds from ticket sales help fund our scholarship program and support inclusive performances year-round.
