Sotheby’s is preparing a series of New York sales featuring works from notable private collections, while also rolling out programming across London and Venice and launching a new Exclusive Editions initiative with artist Kehinde Wiley.

In New York, the auction house will present the personal collection of Kermit Oswald, childhood friend of Keith Haring, at the Breuer ahead of its sale next week. Oswald has discussed the inspiration behind the works with curator Jeffrey Deitch, offering additional context on Haring’s early circle.

Further New York sales draw on the collection of Enrico Donati, which includes works by Kandinsky, Picasso and Tanguy, and feature Jeff Koons’s “Louis XIV” from his Statuary series. Sotheby’s has released video interviews that explore Donati’s connections to leading 20th century artists and Koons’s reflections on his sculpture.

Additional consignments include Robert Mnuchin’s personal holdings, works from Jennifer Gilbert’s Lumana project supporting Detroit’s art scene, and a benefit sale of jewelry informed by trends observed at the Met Gala. Sotheby’s is also spotlighting women collectors active around the Venice Biennale and hosting London Craft Week events that center local ceramicists, while a new partnership with Kehinde Wiley and LIDO introduces Exclusive Editions of the artist’s “Triple Portrait of Charles II” through the Sotheby’s marketplace.
