Sol de Janeiro Brings Brazilian Art and Fragrance to Miami Art Basel
Sol de Janeiro will present an immersive art installation at Miami Art Basel from December 4th through 8th, 2024, at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens. The activation, named Jardim Sol de Janeiro, celebrates the brand’s iconic Cheirosa perfume mists and its Brazilian heritage. In partnership with Brazilian artists Niege Borges, Barbara Tamilin, and Amanda Lobos, the exhibit will feature Cheirosa Portals—interactive art installations inspired by Rio de Janeiro’s famous “orelhões” phone booths. Each portal will highlight the scents of Sol de Janeiro’s signature perfumes, blending nature, art, and fragrance into a sensory experience.
The installation will also feature a unique give-back component. Half of the plants and flowers from the activation will remain in the botanical gardens to enhance its natural beauty, while the other half will be donated to Flower Children, an organization that promotes self-healing, mindfulness, and creativity among children through art and play.
Visitors can explore the installation from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on December 4th and 5th, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on December 6th and 7th, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on December 8th.
