Sneaker Brand Mallet London Launches in the US at Saks Fifth Avenue
“I can’t wait to come to Miami again as soon as possible” says the founder of Mallet London, Tommy Mallet, who is currently at home in London. “I am so excited that Mallet’s first foray into America is in one of my favourite cities in the world,” he says of the fact that Mallet is available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue’s Bal Harbour location as well as Beverly Hills and saksfifthavenue.com.
The straight talking Brit, who is a household name in his native land, first found fame on a hugely popular British reality television show called ‘The Only Way is Essex’. However, since 2015 he has been working non-stop to build his eponymous sneaker brand, Mallet London.
Always a lover of shoes, Tommy was constantly trying to keep up with the latest styles. He couldn’t afford the expensive designer sneakers that were flooding the market, so one day he decided to design his own. His intent was to make his own custom shoes, but when he saw the finished product with his name on it, he knew it had to be something bigger. Fast forward six years, Mallet London, is now stocked at over 150 stores worldwide including Harrods and Selfridges in London and as far reaching as Level Shoes and Harvey Nichols in Dubai. Saks launched the brand at the beginning of Summer, and it will be available in 5 further locations (New York, Houston, Philadelphia, Troy, Atlanta) this November.

The opportunity to expand into the US has been years in the making, and after a successful year during the pandemic as the world took a more casual turn and sought leisure and athletic wear, 2021 was the perfect time. “We are so honored to be part of iconic retailer Saks,” said Tommy of the opportunity. ‘It’s been a dream of ours to be a part of the North American fashion landscape and to have the chance to introduce our high-quality footwear to such discerning consumers is a dream come true.” The retailer received the worldwide exclusive launch of 7 men’s styles.
Mallet London is known for its bold yet minimalistic silhouettes with sleek soles fabricated from smooth, supple leather. The brand launches new styles each season but also maintains a core essentials collection that has developed a cult-like following. The brand has been worn by the likes of will.i.am, Todd Gurley, Connor Mcgregor and Drake to name a few. Signature details synonymous with the brand include a statement metal heel clip and trademark “M” monogram.
This September will also see the second limited edition drop of Mallet London’s collaboration with iconic lifestyle brand COOGI. The first release in 2019 sold out within an hour. This time around, the drop will consist of Mallet’s new Cyrus sneaker swathed in COOGI’S trademark colorful knit. Due to COOGI’S unique patterning, no two pairs are alike.
So what’s next for Mallet London? The entrepreneur, who was just named a Forbes 30 Under 30, said “we have a busy few months ahead of us - we are about to launch in Canada at Harry Rosen with both our men’s and women’s collections and in Australia at David Jones with our men’s. But I won’t stop there. I want to see Mallet shoes walking down the streets of every major city in the world”.
Mallet London is available at mallet.com, Saks.com and Saks Bal Harbour and Beverly Hills. Prices start from $245.
