SLS Brickell's Fi'lia Relaunches with New Interior Design and Menu
Fi’lia, the beloved Italian-American restaurant at SLS Brickell, has relaunched with new lunch and dinner menus, fresh seasonal cocktails, a new curated wine list, daily Aperitivo happy hour, and stunning new designs all centered around Fi’lia’s wood-fired cucina and warm, family atmosphere.
Concepted by Executive Chef Victor Rosado alongside gastronomy and mixology pioneers Carte Blanched, Fi’lia’s new culinary offerings draw inspiration from Italy, Miami and the Mediterranean, fusing traditional dishes with exciting new creations made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and house-made doughs. Elegant primi piatti include ultra-tender octopus that is hand-massaged, broiled, and grilled with smoked pimento cheese, a flavorful beef carpaccio – available as an appetizer or a pizza – and grilled Italian sausage sourced from Miami’s own Proper Sausage, served with house-made ciabatta bread and zesty aioli. From the new “Chef’s Corner,” the colorful corn raviolo is a perfect medley of Florida-meets-Amalfi Coast flavors with fresh lobster and a decadent lobster sauce, while the truffle and mushroom risotto speaks to Chef Rosado’s love of seasonal truffles, which can be added to any dish upon request.
Fi’lia’s new menus also feature a locally loved selection of grilled meats, vegetables, and seafood dishes designed to share, including whole branzino, the ever-popular roasted half-chicken, and rotating specials such as an epic Bistecca alla Fiorentina and a full rack of lamb.
“While Fi’lia was already considered one of the best eateries in Brickell and well loved by a tremendous amount of Miami locals,” said Chef Rosado, “we’ve now taken it to an even higher level with our revitalized menus and sharp new interiors. It’s the kind of place that diners want to come back to again and again.” Chef Rosado, whose impressive resume includes stints at Jean-George’s Fern Restaurant and José Andrés’ Mi Casa and Bazaar Mar restaurants, often welcomes arriving diners from the open kitchen or makes a stop at each table to converse with guests.
This sense of community is at the heart of Fi’lia’s relaunch and reflected in the restaurant’s warm, welcoming service, as well as its revamped dining room. Alongside the new menu items, Fi’lia unveils stunning white-meets-wood interiors framed by cozy banquettes, floor-to-ceiling windows, soft candlelight, and lush greenery — an idyllic setting for delicious, unhurried meals shared with family and friends, old and new. Outside on Fi’lia’s al fresco terrace, large groups can gather for birthdays, anniversaries, and work celebrations under the stars, right in the heart of Brickell. And for extra special occasions, an exclusive chef’s table offers a front-row seat to Fi’lia’s open kitchen.
To start their gastronomic journeys, diners are invited to sip on newly designed craft cocktails, dreamed up by Fi’lia GM Cristian Munarriz and Chef Rosado. Unique libations like the Negroni Bianco and Truffle Old Fashioned nod to Fi’lia’s Italian roots, while Miami- and South American-inspired cocktails like Smoky Passion and Mojito del Sol incorporate tropical fruits like pineapple, passionfruit, and mango using an ancient Roman “shrub” technique for perfectly balanced cocktails that are sweet, tart, and totally refreshing. Alternatively, wine lovers will delight in Fi’lia’s brand-new wine list curated by the restaurant’s on-site sommelier, F&B Director Justin Wilson. With hand-selected varietals from the finest regions of Italy, as well as a handful of French and Californian wines, Fi’lia’s new menu encourages guests to expand their palates and discover trailblazing winemakers from around the world in a friendly, educational environment.
Locals and travelers short on time can still enjoy a taste of Fi’lia at its newly launched Aperitivo Hour, one of the best happy hours in Brickell with specially priced cocktails, aperitifs, and light bites offered daily from 4 to 7 pm. On Antipasti + Wine Wednesdays, select bottles of wine and scrumptious antipasti plates are 50% off during lunch and dinner hours. And on the weekends, Fi’lia turns up the fun with buzzy Weekend Brunch happening every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm, complete with bottomless mimosas, Bloody Marys and Moët & Chandon Garden Spritz, delicious brunch specials, and guest DJ sets.
