Second Saturdays Get a Fresh Coat: Wynwood Art Walk Continues July 12

Curated by the Wynwood Business Improvement District (BID), this celebration, happening every second Saturday of the month, transforms the city’s art district into an open-air cultural playground, blending the district’s world-famous street art with gallery openings, immersive experiences, and the kind of electric atmosphere only Miami can offer.

From handcrafted ceramics to hip-hop photography to sculpture, there’s something for every art lover and curious creative. Guests can stroll through over ten galleries with free admission - including the ever-popular Wynwood Walls and the Museum of Graffiti’s Private Gallery - as well as two interactive experiences, ARTXSPACE and the Paradox Museum, which are offering reduced admission just for the night.

Spotlight on the Artists

This month, the spotlight shines on Cuban-American artist Vic Garcia, whose color-saturated, joy-driven new works are on display at the Museum of Graffiti’s Private Gallery as part of its ongoing “Meet the Artist” series. For those looking to meet the minds behind the masterpieces, this is a golden ticket.

Over at The Art of Hip Hop, photographic storyteller Drain (aka Drainflix) presents an exclusive, one-night-only showcase of never-before-seen portraits featuring hip-hop legends such as DMX, Nas, and Snoop Dogg. The rare prints will be available for purchase, offering collectors and fans a chance to own a raw, intimate piece of music history.

Additionally, gallery Wyn317 is turning its spotlight on Brandon Thompson, a rising name whose handcrafted ceramic sneaker sculptures are as fashion-forward as they are gallery-worthy. During his paint-your-own-ceramic workshop from 7 to 10 p.m., attendees can customize iconic sneaker silhouettes like the Air Force 1, Adidas Samba, and Louis Vuitton Trainer. It’s part art class, part collector’s dream.

Sips, Sounds, and Street Style

Of course, no Wynwood evening is complete without some flavor. Moxy Miami Wynwood will serve up craft cocktails during a festive happy hour, with highlights including the citrusy Casa del Toro and the berry-forward Paradox. Pair that with DJ sets at Wynwood Walls and local vendors lining the streets, and you've got a full-sensory art escape.

The Legacy Lives On

First launched in the early 2000s as a grassroots effort to spotlight emerging local artists, Wynwood Art Walk has become a cornerstone of Miami’s creative scene. It’s more than an event - it’s a movement, evolving as the neighborhood does and always celebrating the beating heart of Wynwood: the art, the artists, and the community.

Whether you're an art world insider, a cultural explorer, or just looking for the next unforgettable Saturday night, Wynwood Art Walk offers something you won’t find anywhere else.

Come for the art. Stay for the energy. Rediscover the soul of Miami.
