SCOPE Miami Beach 2025: Record Crowds, Rising Stars, and Artistic Discoveries
SCOPE Art Show celebrated its 24th edition during Miami Art Week 2025 with record attendance, high energy, and an exciting showcase of contemporary art.
Returning to its signature pavilion on the sands of Miami Beach, the fair attracted an enthusiastic mix of international collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts, reinforcing its reputation as a destination for discovering emerging talent and innovative artistic perspectives.
This year's edition brought together more than 100 international exhibitors from 18 countries, presenting a diverse selection of contemporary works across multiple artistic disciplines. The fair also welcomed 30 first-time exhibiting galleries, introducing fresh perspectives and new creative voices to its international audience. Strong collector engagement, a vibrant atmosphere, and an impressive range of artistic styles were among the defining highlights of the event.
Among the fair's notable honors was the 2025 SCOPE Acquisition Prize for the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), recognizing artist Daniel Ochoa's works Inside Your Body, There Is a Light That Never Goes Out (2025) and Biophoton (2025), both of which joined the museum's permanent collection.
“This acquisition is especially meaningful because Ochoa is local to our vibrant art community, which continues to grow stronger year after year,” said José Carlos Diaz. “His work, which blends sculpture and design and draws on his Latin American roots, will be installed alongside other works by Miami artists, fostering an inspiring dialogue.” The acquisition reflects PAMM's commitment to supporting Miami's artistic community while connecting local creativity with broader global perspectives.
Another standout moment was the FUZE x SCOPE Residency Prize, an initiative dedicated to supporting and elevating creative talent from the Caribbean community. The award went to artist Desmond Beach, whose participation also resulted in several artwork sales with the support of Richard Beavers Gallery. Together, these achievements highlighted SCOPE's commitment to artistic discovery, cultural diversity, and creating meaningful opportunities for emerging artists, making its 2025 edition a memorable chapter in Miami Art Week.
