Sanamama Is More Than A Jewelry Store – It’s a Portal into Another World

What if putting on jewelry in the morning was less a habit and more a ritual? At Sanamama, Miami's newest fine jewelry and wellness destination, that's not a concept. It's a practice.
Founded by Gabi Torres, healer, designer, and former art therapist, Sanamama blends one-of-a-kind gemstones, spiritual intention, and immersive design into an experience that sits somewhere between fine jewelry boutique and sanctuary. Since opening its first physical location in Bay Harbor Islands earlier this year, the brand has carved out a distinct space within South Florida's luxury and wellness communities.
Torres didn't arrive here quickly. "SANAMAMA has been a work in progress for, I would say, the last 20 years," she says. "I initially began as an art therapist and yoga teacher, blending art, healing, and spiritual movement. Somewhere along the way, life introduced me to crystals, and I began incorporating them into my work." Jewelry, she adds, was already woven into her family history, a tradition of passing down pieces tied to milestones and meaning. "Still, I always felt something was missing in the jewelry world."
Sanamama is her answer to that.

Stones With a Story
The jewelry Torres designs is chosen as much for energetic significance as for beauty. Ask her about favorite stones and she doesn't hesitate, though she does pause. "Choosing a favorite is so hard!" She gravitates toward pink tourmalines, which she describes as carrying "one of the highest frequencies of love," brown and champagne-colored diamonds that "connect us with the energy of the Earth Mother," and watermelon tourmalines, each with their own "unique energetic composition. They are rare, beautiful, and incredibly special."

That intentionality extends to how clients experience their pieces over time. Torres has heard from many who describe real shifts after acquiring a Sanamama piece. "Some describe feeling more aligned, calm, and creative, while others speak about experiencing greater abundance or entering entirely new chapters in their lives." For Torres personally, the relationship is daily. "Since each piece carries a distinct energy, I naturally reach for different jewels depending on what I need that day. I interact with and connect to the energy of the jewelry as I get ready each morning."
A Space Built for Both Luxury and Spirit
The Bay Harbor Islands boutique was designed to make all of this tangible. Towering crystals, gemstone furniture, natural wood, and alchemy bowls fill the space, creating something that feels less like a store and more like a destination. Torres was deliberate about every element. "I wanted the space to help people fully understand the world of SANAMAMA through every element, from the wood throughout the boutique that connects us to the Earth, to the jewelry, large crystals, crystal furniture, and alchemy bowls that connect clients to both spirit and luxury. Material meets ethereal."

The goal, she says, was simple. "My goal was for clients to feel nurtured, inspired, and curious."
Why Miami Is Paying Attention
Miami's wellness and luxury scenes have been converging for years, but Sanamama occupies a space that's genuinely its own. It's not a spa, not a traditional jeweler, and not a crystal shop. It's something newer and harder to categorize, which may be exactly why it's resonating.
When visitors leave, Torres hopes they carry more than a purchase. "I hope each person walks out feeling inspired, curious, and joyful. Excited by what they learned, inspired by what they purchased, and curious about what other gifts and surprises SANAMAMA treasures may have in store for them throughout their ongoing journey. I want it to feel as though they stepped through a portal into another world, one that has so much to offer them."
That's the promise of Sanamama. And from the looks of it, Miami is ready to step through.
