Salsa & Sip Is Back: Second Season Launches at Hoy Como Ayer on Thursday, September 10
There's no shortage of places to dance in Miami, but few places feel quite as alive as Hoy Como Ayer on Calle Ocho.
Beginning Thursday, September 10, Salsa & Sip will make its second return to Hoy Como Ayer, continuing every Thursday through November 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. Designed for all experience levels, the lively series invites guests to learn the basics of salsa, indulge in Cuban-inspired bites and sip on a complimentary drink inside one of Little Havana's most storied music venues.
After a successful first season, chef-owner Michael Beltran's Ariete Hospitality Group has once again partnered with Miami Bucketlisters to bring the weekly celebration of Latin music, dance and nightlife back to Calle Ocho. Manny Robas of Club Salsa Z will lead the one-hour salsa class, welcoming solo dancers, first-timers or seasoned salseros.
The Thursday series kicks off a busy weekend of Latin music and nightlife programming at Holy Como Ayer, with Latin Fever Fridays running from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. and alternating Sabrosura Saturdays beginning at 9 p.m.
On Fridays, music starts at 9 p.m., with Hoy Como Ayer music director and Ear Candy Music's Andres "Cucu" Morales behind vinyl selection, alongside Mario "El Gato" Espinosa on timbales. Saturdays alternate between Sabrosura Saturdays and live band performances throughout the season, keeping the energy alive well into the night. Guests can also enjoy the late-night happy hour from 10 p.m. to close.
The spicy programming carries forward the rich, musical legacy of Hoy Como Ayer, a beloved Calle Ocho institution that has been bringing together music cocktails, food and community since 1999.
