The 2026 edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano recorded 316,342 visitors from 167 countries, marking a 4.5 percent increase from the previous year. The six-day design event hosted 1,900 brands from 32 countries and maintained a 68 percent international trade visitor attendance rate.

The exhibition highlighted key sectors in contemporary living through the International Bathroom Exhibition, EuroCucina, and Technology For the Kitchen. International attendance showed growth across multiple markets. China remained the top foreign country for trade visitors, while European attendance grew with notable increases from Germany, Spain, and Austria. The United States and the United Kingdom also reported visitor increases, and attendance from Canada rose by 28 percent.
During the event, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation officially named the exhibition an Ambassador of Italian Design Worldwide. This appointment establishes a framework to promote Italian design across international markets through a network of embassies and cultural institutes.
The programming included Salone Raritas, an exhibition featuring 28 international galleries, and introduced the curatorial masterplan for Salone Contract 2027 designed by Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten of OMA. The event also hosted over 14,000 international and domestic students alongside 700 young designers at SaloneSatellite.
The 65th edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano is scheduled for April 13 through April 18, 2027.
