Ryan Keeley and Grey/Ven Debut Resurrect in Light at SCOPE Miami to Support Malibu’s Recovery

Artist Ryan Keeley will premiere Resurrect in Light at SCOPE Miami Art Show during Miami Art Week 2025, presented in partnership with quiet luxury label Grey/Ven. The project is rooted in Malibu’s wildfire recovery effort and aims to raise awareness and support for Friends of Malibu Urgent Care, which has been central to community rebuilding efforts following the fires earlier this year.

The concept began after Keeley was invited to create work inside the stark, dismantled Tadao Ando–designed Malibu home formerly owned by Ye (Kanye West). The site became the catalyst for a series exploring fracture, renewal and transformation. Keeley incorporated Malibu sand and wildfire ash into custom pigments, using them to create canvases that reflect both the destruction and the resilience of the region. The process was documented through both painting and video.

To expand the project’s reach, Keeley brought in longtime collaborator Scott Weissman, CEO of Grey/Ven. The brand’s involvement connects the art world with a broader creative community during Miami Art Week, aligning with Grey/Ven’s focus on fashion, cultural dialogue and artistic collaboration.

At SCOPE, the partnership will present an extensive, multi-part installation, including:

  • A 5,000-square-foot live painting on the exterior of SCOPE’s walls

  • A dedicated booth featuring works created in Malibu and opportunities to meet Keeley

  • A combined canvas and video exhibit

  • Artist-painted paddle ball courts for the Art Week pro tournament, sponsored by Grey/Ven

  • A private event featuring a special installation and models wearing Grey/Ven garments printed with Keeley’s artwork

The debut will also introduce Keeley Paint X Supply, a new eco-luxury paint line inspired by the Malibu project. The collection will include pigments made using sand, debris and other natural materials gathered from fire-impacted areas.
