United Way Broward’s Coalition on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention, in collaboration with Broward Behavioral Health Coalition and the Florida Department of Children and Families, proudly presents the 7th Annual Latino Symposium for Parents: Breaking Stigmas on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, FL.

This powerful Spanish-language event will feature special guest María Celeste Arrarás, a three-time Emmy Award-winning journalist and renowned television personality. Known for her trailblazing career and powerful voice in Hispanic media, Arrarás will join parents and community leaders for an open and honest conversation about mental health, offering insight and encouragement to help families break cultural stigmas.

In addition, two other distinguished experts will speak during the event:
Dr. Erika Monroy, a Mexican clinical psychologist and certified international coach, frequent media contributor, and advocate for emotional wellness.

Karolina Lama, a Chilean clinical psychologist, published author, and international speaker with more than 15 years of expertise in emotional well-being and healthy habit formation.

This engaging daylong Spanish-language symposium will provide parents with resources, tools, and guidance to help Hispanic parents and families thrive.
Attendees will also enjoy lunch, live music, a complimentary book, and a fun Zumba session.
