The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne Reopens After $100 Million Transformation

The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami has reopened following a $100 million renovation that reshapes the oceanfront resort into a modern coastal retreat blending island calm with Miami’s cosmopolitan energy. Set across 17 acres of Atlantic Ocean beachfront, the property marks its first full renewal in nearly 25 years.

Led by Gencom alongside design studios Hart Howerton, DesignAgency, and Chapi Chapo Design, the transformation emphasizes open-air architecture, uninterrupted ocean views, and interiors defined by sun-washed tones and natural materials. A sweeping glass façade anchors the arrival experience, opening onto tropical gardens and outdoor terraces designed for all-day use—from morning swims to sunset cocktails.

Guest rooms and suites feature updated furnishings, layered textures, and floor-to-ceiling windows framing ocean and garden views. The Presidential Suite anchors the accommodations with two bedrooms, expansive indoor-outdoor living, and panoramic views over Biscayne Bay.

Dining is reimagined through six beachfront venues. Luma offers Mediterranean-inspired Italian cuisine with handmade pastas and grilled seafood, while Paralía, led by Executive Chef Renato Mekolli, draws on Greek and Turkish coastal traditions with local seafood and shareable meze. Additional concepts include Rum Bar, Dune Beach Bar, Stefano’s poolside pizzeria, and Scoop for gelato. Wellness-focused dining arrives via Pura Vida Miami, and Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier rounds out the program with artisanal confections.

Wellness anchors the resort’s next chapter with the debut of The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Key Biscayne, a 30,000-square-foot sanctuary featuring 16 treatment rooms, a salon, and indoor-outdoor relaxation spaces. Daily Renewal Rituals, sound and elemental therapies, and a sensory garden define the experience. Fitness offerings include an oceanfront gym, complimentary lawn classes, and reformer-based sessions from Tremble.

Leisure amenities expand with refreshed pools and cabanas, water sports, and the Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center offering tennis, pickleball, and padel. Retail boutiques and a newly designed Ritz Kids Club complete the resort’s all-ages appeal.

More information and reservations are available via The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami.
