Louis Poulsen, a distinguished Danish luxury lighting company with a rich heritage spanning over 150 years, is excited to announce the appointment of Rick Leeds as the new Head of B2B Partnerships for North America. With a robust background in the lighting industry, Rick brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to the Louis Poulsen team.

Rick joins Louis Poulsen from LEDVANCE, where he played a pivotal role in developing a project sales-oriented team focused on renovation projects, national accounts, and ESCOs. Under his leadership, he successfully managed and grew a specialized team of sales managers across the United States, driving significant revenue growth.
Prior to joining LEDVANCE, Rick held key positions at several prestigious lighting companies, including Bover and FLOS, where he significantly influenced sales and operational strategies. At Bover, he directed sales efforts across the U.S. and Canada, overseeing their independent agencies and doubling North American sales within two years through strategic initiatives and the development of custom business opportunities. During his tenure at FLOS, Rick managed a team of Business Development Managers and independent agencies, implementing a pipeline management system that resulted in significant increase in sales. Additionally, his technical expertise from working with Hydrel allowed him to integrate advanced lighting technologies and energy-efficient solutions, effectively addressing client needs and enhancing project outcomes.
Rick earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural and Illumination Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and has been an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society since 1981, contributing to various committees and boards dedicated to advancing the lighting industry.
In his new position at Louis Poulsen, Rick will harness his extensive expertise to enhance B2B partnerships and drive growth, aligning with the company’s vision to inspire and elevate the experience of light in both indoor and outdoor spaces. As Louis Poulsen transitions away from its distribution partnership with NEO Architectural Lighting to establish a dedicated in-house business unit focusing on the contract segment, Rick will play an integral role in the success of this new initiative.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rick to the Louis Poulsen family,” said Carly Conelli, Managing Director at Louis Poulsen. “His extensive experience and passion for the lighting industry will be invaluable as we continue to expand our footprint in North America and strengthen our partnerships.”
