Revello Modern Mixers, the Miami-born brand founded by Matt Teitelbaum, is expanding its footprint across Florida through Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. The growth brings Revello's lineup of clean-label mixers, infused with electrolytes, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, to restaurants, bars, hotels, and retailers statewide. Consumers can also purchase Revello through Amazon, making the brand accessible both on-premise and at home.

As consumers increasingly seek products that align with more mindful lifestyles without sacrificing quality or flavor, Revello is positioning itself as a modern alternative in the mixer category. In this exclusive interview with Miami Living, Teitelbaum discusses the inspiration behind the brand, why Miami played a key role in its development, the growing demand for better mixers, and his vision for creating what he calls the “modern mixer” category.

Miami Living: Revello was created from your own search for a more balanced way to enjoy a great drink. What did you feel was missing from the mixer category?

Matt Teitelbaum: The idea hit me in a cold plunge, part of my near-daily routine. We'd had friends over the night before, enjoyed a few cocktails, and the next morning I was sitting in the water when the whole concept just landed. I got out freezing, but the chill down my spine was the idea, not the water.

I started researching the category that day and couldn't believe nothing like it existed. Consumers had evolved, but mixers hadn't.

I've always believed in everything in moderation, and I wanted a product that reflected that philosophy. Something that tasted incredible but felt more aligned with how people live today.

That's what Revello became: the modern mixer.

Miami Living: As a Miami-born brand now expanding across Florida with Southern Glazer's, how has the city helped shape Revello?

Matt Teitelbaum: Miami is a city where people train hard in the morning and go out hard at night, and they never see those things as opposites.

People here care about what they eat, what they drink, and how they live, but they also know how to enjoy themselves. There's no contradiction between wellness and celebration.

Miami was recently named one of the most wellness-focused cities in America, while Miami Beach remains one of the country's premier nightlife destinations. In many ways, that balance is exactly what Revello represents.

I don't think Revello could have been born anywhere else. And with Southern Glazer's behind us, we're able to bring the brand across Florida with a level of reach that usually takes years to build.

Miami Living: The mixers are made with clean ingredients, balanced sweetness, and added electrolytes, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. How did you approach creating a more thoughtful mixer without losing the taste and experience people expect?

Matt Teitelbaum: Taste came first. Always.

Our philosophy was simple: if improving the nutrition compromised the flavor even slightly, it didn't make the cut.

We spent an enormous amount of time finding that balance, keeping calories and sugar as low as possible while still delivering a mixer that works beautifully in a cocktail and tastes great on its own.

That's really what “Mix With Benefits” means: better ingredients without giving up the experience.

Miami Living: The initial lineup includes six mixers, from tonic water and ginger beer to sparkling grapefruit and lemon. How did you decide which products to include?

Matt Teitelbaum: We started with the classics because that's what people already reach for.

The goal wasn't to invent another trendy flavor. It was to modernize the staples that sit behind almost every great cocktail and mocktail.

Innovation isn't always about invention. Sometimes it's about making something familiar better.

Miami Living: More consumers are choosing to drink less, but drink better. How do you see Revello fitting into the growing interest in cocktails, mocktails, and more mindful drinking?

Matt Teitelbaum: People don't think in categories anymore.

One night it's a cocktail. The next it's a mocktail. They want both experiences to feel equally thoughtful and equally elevated.

Revello was built for that lifestyle. The ritual stays the same. The only thing changing is what's in the glass.

Miami Living: Designed for both restaurants and home use, what do you think consumers are looking for today when they order a drink out or make one at home?

Matt Teitelbaum: I've always found it interesting that people proudly name their spirit but almost never their mixer.

I don't think that's because mixers don't matter. I think it's because nobody has ever given consumers a reason to care.

That's what we're trying to change with better taste, cleaner ingredients, thoughtful design, and familiar flavors. It's the kind of product people are proud to put on the bar cart instead of hiding behind it.

Miami Living: Finally, what is your favorite way to enjoy Revello, and what are you most excited about as the brand continues to grow?

Matt Teitelbaum: My favorite is Sparkling Grapefruit with a quality tequila for a clean Paloma. But I enjoy all six varieties, whether they're mixed into a cocktail, enjoyed in a mocktail, or simply poured over ice.

What excites me most is watching someone try Revello for the first time and immediately understand what we're trying to do. It's usually followed by the same question: “Why hasn't this existed before?”

That's the reaction we're chasing. We didn't set out to make another mixer. We set out to create the modern mixer category and lead it. This is just the beginning.
