PS MIA to Launch Miami Airport’s First Private Terminal for Commercial Travelers in 2026

PS MIA, a luxury private terminal experience for commercial travelers, announced it will open at Miami International Airport (MIA) in spring 2026. The terminal will be located in the historic former Pan American Airways (Pan Am) headquarters, marking a milestone for both premium air travel and local architectural preservation.

The announcement was made at a special event on-site, where PS MIA CEO Amina Porter was joined by Ralp Cutié, Director and CEO of MIA, and Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.

“This project represents the future of air travel and the legacy of Miami’s aviation past,” Porter said. “PS MIA is proud to bring this new standard of service to MIA, while honoring a space that helped define the golden age of flying.”

Guests at the event toured the space with interior designer Cliff Fong, who is leading the design in collaboration with RJ Heisenbottle Architects, experts in historic preservation. The building has been a designated Miami-Dade County Historical Site since 2014. The renovation will preserve its iconic mid-century brutalist architecture while introducing finishes and furnishings inspired by the era.

Key features like the original Pan Am logos, gold paneling, and reflecting pools will be restored. The design will fuse natural elements with PS MIA’s signature hospitality, reflecting the city’s tropical glamour and cultural vibrancy.

When complete, PS MIA will offer five private suites, two salons with dining services, a day spa with beauty treatments and massages, and a central outdoor courtyard — all designed to create a serene, elevated experience for travelers seeking privacy, comfort, and efficiency.

“This will be a place where travelers can find calm and care,” Porter added. “PS MIA is designed for people who value time, tranquility, and timeless design.”
