A Maximalist Feast of Art and Flavor

American Express and Marriot Bonvoy present "Dinner with Chef Kwame Onwuachi” with artist Kelly Dabbah.

Step into the mesmerizing world of maximalist art where nostalgia, irony, and kitsch synchronize. Marriott Bonvoy and American Express are thrilled to announce that Kelly Dabbah, the visionary artist celebrated by Harper's Bazaar as "the art world's rising queen of kitsch" and recognized by Forbes as "just getting started," will bring an enchanting touch to the exclusive event "Dinner with Chef Kwame Onwuachi." The event will take place during Miami Art Week from December 8-9, 2023 at the W South Beach Miami.

Kelly Dabbah's immersive art experience fuses art, design, fashion, and culinary excellence. It will include custom designed plates for the dinner, two mesmerizing video cube installations around the pool, a live activation featuring a large circular mirror with her digital art printed on fabrics, and she will transform the hotel’s facade with a collage. She will also create a unique photo booth moment that seamlessly blends reality and dreams, showcasing elements from the dynamic landscape of NYC, tigers, predators, delicate touches of butterflies, and flowers. This presentation reflects the themes of fantasy and dreams alongside the urban hustle of NYC. Every guest will be gifted an exclusive, custom-designed silk scarf adorned with Kelly Dabbah’s distinctive art.

Inspired by the James Beard Award-winning chef Kwame Onwuachi, Dabbah will weave his culinary genius into her artwork for the event, creating a unique fusion of two creative worlds of vision and taste. Importantly, chef Kwame Onwuachi’s image, from childhood to present day, will be a part of every piece by Dabbah. The private dinner and event promises to blur the lines between art, entertainment, and cuisine into a transcendent experience.
