Poltrona Frau has unveiled its 2025 collection, titled The Five Seasons, a concept that expands the traditional cycle of spring, summer, autumn, and winter with a fifth, more personal season shaped by individual emotion, balance, and sensory experience. The collection was presented in Milan and reflects the Italian brand’s ongoing focus on craftsmanship, material research, and contemporary living.

During Miami Art Week, several pieces from Poltrona Frau’s 2025 Five Seasons Collection were on view, with particular attention on the Poltrona Frau x Leica Fidelio multimedia cabinet developed in collaboration with Leica. The presentation also featured work by three-time Grammy Award–winning artist and producer Mathieu Bitton, who displayed selections from his book Paris Blues alongside previously unseen photographs, shown throughout the Poltrona Frau showroom and on Leica’s Cine 1 100-inch smart laser TV paired with the cabinet.

At the center of the collection is the 60th anniversary of the Dezza armchair by Gio Ponti. To mark the milestone, Poltrona Frau has released a limited edition of 60 numbered pieces upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather featuring digital prints derived from a previously unseen illustration by the architect and designer. The re-edition connects Ponti’s artistic language with the broader seasonal theme of the collection.

New seating designs play a significant role in the 2025 lineup. The Blisscape Sofa, designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, explores adaptability and comfort through generous cushions and a concealed mechanism that allows the backrests to shift naturally with the body. The Parka modular sofa by Draga & Aurel has been expanded with new curved elements, while Jean-Marie Massaud’s GranTorino line introduces structural refinements aimed at improving long-term comfort and shape retention.

For the first time, Poltrona Frau enters the bedroom storage category with the DressCove Night System. The modular wardrobe solution can be configured as walk-in closets or traditional wardrobes and combines Pelle Frau® leather, wood, integrated lighting, and freestanding structural elements. The system reflects the brand’s broader move toward complete residential environments rather than standalone furniture pieces.

Collaborations remain a defining aspect of the collection. The ongoing partnership with Fornasetti continues with a capsule collection that revisits the 1919 armchair by Renzo Frau and reinterprets Jean-Marie Massaud’s Isidoro trunk as a drinks cabinet decorated with Fornasetti’s Ultime Notizie motif. A new collaboration with Leica introduces an updated version of the Fidelio Multimedia Cabinet by Roberto Lazzeroni, specifically designed to house the Leica Cine 1 smart laser TV, integrating home cinema technology into Poltrona Frau’s design language.

The dining and bedroom categories also see notable additions. The Mesa Due table by Lella and Massimo Vignelli is now available in new elliptical marble versions, while the Duo Collection—developed with Ceccotti Collezioni and designed by Lazzeroni—expands to include a new bed, bedside tables, storage pieces, and a vanity, all characterized by sculptural wood forms and refined material contrasts.

Material innovation underpins the 2025 collection. Pelle Frau Soulful debuts as part of the brand’s Impact Less tanning process, offering a thicker texture, softer sheen, and an updated palette that includes seven new colors. The accompanying Textile Collection introduces three new fabric families developed to align with the collection’s overall color direction.

Beyond furniture, Poltrona Frau continues to extend its lifestyle offerings through the Beautilities collection. New lighting designs created in collaboration with digital artist Six N. Five, along with accessories, tableware developed with Giobagnara, and travel items designed by Carlotta Fortuna, reinforce the brand’s ambition to bring its design ethos into everyday objects.

The Five Seasons Collection is available at the Poltrona Frau flagship store in Milan, in select international showrooms, and online through the brand’s official platforms. Updates and visuals from the launch can be found on Poltrona Frau’s Instagram and as well as on the official Poltrona Frau website.
