Poliform Paolo Roversi Photo Exhibition

Poliform is delighted to announce “Time, Light, Space”, an artistic project that finds its origins in the cooperation between Poliform and Paolo Roversi.
After its launch in 2020 in Milan and its introduction in Shanghai, Poliform brings in its New York, Miami and Los Angeles showrooms, a gallery of pictures taken by international photographer Paolo Roversi to tell the story of the family company and its timeless values of passion for work, commitment to quality and devotion to excellence.
The photo exhibition will highlight selected images of the book published by Rizzoli New York to celebrate 50 years of Poliform through the powerful narrative interpretation of a worldwide popular professional.
Paolo Roversi has captured the history of a company and its more intimate soul: the universal language of photography becomes a journey into the Poliform universe that reveals years of innovation, challenges and its attitude to promote the unmatched artisanal tradition and unique quality/know-how of Italian design to the world.
The lenses of Paolo Roversi’s camera reveal the philosophy of a brand founded in 1970 by Giovanni Anzani and his cousins Alberto and Aldo Spinelli, that since then collected awards and became an iconic symbol of Italian essence and timeless elegance.
The title of the book mentions time, light and space: these are the founding elements of photography and design, their essence.
This is not coincidental.
The search for an absolute synthesis and for radical simplicity is what unites the work of Paolo Roversi–one of the most distinguished authors of images that have now entered the history of photography–and the driving force behind the vision of Giovanni Anzani, Aldo Spinelli and Alberto Spinelli in their constant re-interpretation of the living space.
But “Time, Light, Space” is nothing like a catalog: it is more a genuine journey into the world of Poliform. It will be showcased at the Supersalone by Salone del Mobile at Rho, Fiera Milano in early September, in the Poliform space and it will be hosted in New York at the Poliform showroom from Friday, September 24th until Saturday, October 2nd.
Poliform New York store located at Madison Avenue will become an art gallery offering a few installations open to the public in its business hours to offer an even more fulfilling experience to its customers and interior designers.
The book will be available at the Rizzoli Bookstore in Manhattan and its network.
Starting from October 29th until November 6th, the Poliform showroom in Miami located in the Design District will feature the same initiative, which will be then installed at the Poliform showroom in Los Angeles in December.

About Paolo Roversi
Paolo Roversi is a photographer best known for his striking, intimate portraiture and classical visual language. His photographs occupy a realm between the past and present, resulting in imagery that feels at once progressive and familiar. Roversi’s interest in photography began at an early age during a trip to Spain, prompting him to build a darkroom for printing his black and white photographs. He began his professional career in 1970 with photojournalism assignments, but soon shifted his focus to fashion. After a period assisting Laurence Sackman, Roversi started shooting his own fashion editorials and advertising campaigns, the resulting catalogue of which over the years has made him one of the industry’s preeminent image-makers. In the early 1980s he added large-format Polaroid photography to his practice, a medium that continues to enhance his trademark style. Roversi is widely regarded fashion and portrait photographer and has documented all the most famous models and movie stars. His photographs have been published internationally in magazines such as Vogue, W Magazine and Vanity Fair. He has collaborated with leading fashion and beauty houses, creating images for brands from Comme des Garçons, Dior and Guerlain to Armani, Chanel, and Lancôme. During his 40-year career as a photographer, Roversi has published several, including Angeli, Libretto, Nudi, Studio and Secrets and his work has been exhibited at galleries and museums around the world.
