Phil Rarick is an attorney with 30 years of experience in private and public legal work. His practice focuses on estate planning (wills and trusts), asset protection, probate, and business law. He integrates asset protection with estate planning to help clients protect their wealth and gain tax advantages.
He is an active member of the Elder Law Section and the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. He writes and edits the Miami Trusts & Probate Alert newsletter and blog, and has authored several guides, including "Florida Asset Protection," "Florida Probate Quick Reference Guide," and "Understanding Living Trusts for Florida Residents." Rarick is a past President of the Miami Lakes Bar Association and has served as a Director since its founding in 2005.
Rarick is married to Nancy C. Rarick and has three children: Ashley, Joshua, and Hannah. He was involved in community activities as a youth basketball and soccer coach in Miami Lakes and Weston for over 13 years.
Originally from Indiana, Rarick earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, and his J.D. from Indiana University Law School, Indianapolis. He served as counsel to the National Association of Attorneys General from 1983 to 1987 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
