Author and podcast host Peter Iglesias officially launched the Men on a Mission Foundation during a Sept. 30 kick-off event in Fort Lauderdale. The foundation starts with $20,000 in committed funding to support its mission of advancing men’s mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

The initial funding includes a $10,000 contribution from The Scott Family Foundation, supported by board member and physical health pillar leader Doug Scott, owner of 4Ever Young locations in Delray Beach and Weston. That donation was matched with an additional $10,000 through a donor-advised fund with the National Christian Foundation.

Launch Event and Book Release

The launch event, held at Sakana Nikkei in downtown Fort Lauderdale, also marked the release of Iglesias’ book, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay. The gathering introduced attendees to the foundation’s goals of changing how men address mental health, identity, faith, purpose, and seeking assistance.

"This support means so much because it shows there is a real need and a community that believes in what we are building," said Iglesias, founder and CEO of the foundation. "Men need a safe space where they can have honest conversations, find resources and know they do not have to navigate difficult moments alone."

Four Pillars of Health

The organization centers its programming around four interconnected areas:

  • Mental Health: Led by Daniel Rubin

  • Physical Health: Led by Doug Scott

  • Spiritual Health: Led by Pastor Neal Graham

  • Community Health and Connection: Led by Patrick Neeley

Connected Ecosystem

The foundation operates alongside the Men on a Mission Podcast, which features conversations on mental health, leadership, and resilience with over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. While the book shares Iglesias' personal journey across 25 years in executive leadership, the podcast expands on these themes, and the foundation works to convert those discussions into community programming.

A portion of proceeds from It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, available through Amazon, directly benefits the foundation's suicide prevention and educational initiatives.
