Pérez Art Museum Miami has outlined its 2025 Miami Art Week programming, highlighted by Woody De Othello: coming forth by day, a solo exhibition by the Miami-born artist. The museum will also host its annual Thursday-night celebration, PAMM Presents, alongside a slate of talks, performances, and the debut of ECOLOGIES, a new collaborative series examining cultural ecosystems in South Florida.

Othello’s exhibition marks his first solo museum show in his hometown, bringing together ceramic and wood sculptures, tiled wall pieces, and a large bronze work. The installation is structured around natural materials and sensory cues that frame his anthropomorphic objects within themes of memory, spirituality, and ancestral traditions. His references span diasporic African practices, hermetic philosophy, and cultural forms such as nkisi figures and Dogon ritual objects.
During Art Week, PAMM will operate extended hours and continue to showcase several ongoing exhibitions. These include Elliot & Erick Jiménez: El Monte, which draws on Afro-Caribbean spirituality and the photographers’ Cuban-American identity; Shadows and Traces, featuring works by women artists reflecting on memory; and a series of presentations across the galleries and PAMMTV, including Language and Image, Mark Dion: The South Florida Wildlife Rescue Unit, Worlds Apart, One Becomes Many, Fragments of Time, Cecilia Vicuña: Quipu Gut, and Carlos Cruz-Diez: Chromosaturation.
Programming begins Tuesday, December 2, with a public conversation featuring Jorge Pérez, PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans, Aldeide Delgado, and artist Anastasia Samoylova. Their discussion focuses on art, legacy, and community in Miami.
Throughout the week, ECOLOGIES will take place at Ice Palace Studios in partnership with the Knight Foundation, NADA, CULTURED, and Cultural Counsel. The series examines cultural infrastructure through conversations on institutional alliances, technology, education, and regional Caribbean perspectives.
On Thursday, December 4, PAMM Presents: Art Bashment returns to the museum’s waterfront terrace with a lineup curated by Rohan Marley and Inner Circle. The evening features performances by Silent Addy, Ky-mani Marley, Zion Marley, Jesse Royal, Naomi Cowan, and others. The event draws thousands of visitors from the art, music, fashion, and philanthropy communities.
Additional public programs continue through Friday, including a conversation on Caribbean cultural ecologies. Exhibitions such as El Monte, coming forth by day, and Beyond Representation on PAMMTV remain on view throughout the week.
