Orchids in Bloom 20th Annual Festival This Weekend at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

This weekend is Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s 20th Annual Orchids in Bloom Festival  Saturday, March 8, and Sunday, March 9, 2025 (Daylight Savings being Sunday), with 150,000 blooming orchids, rare specimens from the American Orchid Society, and groundbreaking conservation efforts like the Million Orchid Project, this festival highlights Miami’s rise as an orchid capital and return to original native glory.


It is a wonderful event to kick off the spring season with Daylight savings time on Sunday!  

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden's 20th Annual Orchids in Bloom Festival transforms     South Florida's premier botanical paradise into an immersive floral wonderland with over 150,000 orchids on display. The two-day celebration showcases rare specimens from the American Orchid Society's heritage collection alongside the Garden's groundbreaking Million Orchid Project conservation work. This sensory experience offers expert-led lectures, interactive demonstrations, and orchid-inspired activities set against the backdrop of the Garden's beloved butterfly house and tropical rainforest.

DJ Brandon Segree brings the fun with kid-approved tracks, while a stream of bubbles adds excitement to every step all day long from 10:45 a.m., 11:45 p.m., 12:45 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.

Array of Spice Candles and Tea

A curated collection featuring aromatic spice-scented candles alongside complementary teas, combining warm fragrances matching tea blends for a harmonious sensory experience

Orchid Collection Walking Tour

A guided journey through stunning orchid displays, showcasing rare and exotic varieties in their curated habitat.

Million Orchid Project Lab Tour

Behind-the-scenes lab tour showcasing advanced tissue culture techniques and conservation research of endangered native orchid species.

Expert-led demonstration on properly mounting and caring for orchids in their natural growing positions.

Picardo Kids Painting Class 

Create your own 8x10 canvas painting in this children's art session. All materials provided. No experience is needed.

Short Chef Cooking Demos

Classes are fun and kid-friendly. Space is limited to 40 people per session.

Interactive outdoor fun where kids discover nature through playful games and bingo challenges featuring local flora and fauna.

Orchid Class

Learn the essentials of orchid care and cultivation in this hands-on class at Fairchild's world-renowned tropical garden.

Indulge in a tasting flight featuring miniature botanical cocktails handcrafted with fresh herbs, edible flowers, and tropical flavors.

Mini Mimosa Flight

Enjoy a mini mimosa flight featuring three sparkling cocktails infused with botanicals, fresh fruits, and fragrant herbs.

Vanilla Skin Care

Create luxurious vanilla-infused body products, including hand scrub, foot soak, and body wash, in this hands-on botanical workshop.

Space is limited to 36 people.

Live Entertainment For All Ages

Experience vibrant Polynesian culture through dynamic performances featuring traditional music and dance that transport audiences of all ages to the enchanting islands of the South Pacific.
