On Signs World No. 1 Arturo Coello as Brand Expands Into Padel

Swiss sportswear brand On has signed padel World No. 1 Arturo Coello, marking a key step in the company’s expansion into racket sports. The partnership positions Coello as On’s first padel athlete and centers on long-term collaboration focused on product innovation.

Coello, who is the youngest player ever to reach the top of the world rankings, will work closely with On’s product development teams to help design padel-specific footwear. The goal is to bring Swiss-engineered performance technology to the padel court as the brand grows its presence in the category.

The Spanish player began playing padel at age seven in Mojados, Spain, before committing fully to the sport at 16. He turned professional in 2019 and rose quickly through the ranks. At 21, he reached World No. 1 and, alongside partner Agustín Tapia, recorded a 47-match winning streak. Together, the duo has secured more than 37 major titles across professional tours.

As part of the agreement, Coello will provide technical feedback and testing input directly to On’s innovation teams in Switzerland. The collaboration is designed to address the specific movement, grip, and durability demands of padel.

On’s first padel-specific footwear, developed with Coello’s involvement, is expected to launch in summer 2027.
