O Cinema Appoints Ana Martínez as Director of Development
O Cinema has appointed Ana Martínez as the new Director of Development. Ana brings extensive experience in development and marketing, as well as a strong passion for cultural arts and community building.
Ana's career includes work in television production at networks such as MTV Latin America, Telemundo, and Univision, where she earned an Emmy Award for her work on the Cristina show. She has also launched successful ventures in the arts.
In philanthropy, Ana has held significant leadership roles, including Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Hostos Community College, CUNY, where she developed effective fundraising strategies. At the Frost Art Museum FIU, she doubled the number of top-level benefactor members. She has also served as the Director of Philanthropy and Creative Strategies at The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade and as Southeast Regional Director for NPH: USA, an international nonprofit organization.
Ana holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Literature with a minor in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania. She has collaborated with fashion designer Gabriela Hearst on the Fall 2022 collection and will soon publish her first chapbook, "That Place."
Originally from Cuba and now residing in Coral Gables, Ana is connected to her roots and finds inspiration in nature, her art studio, and cinema.
