From November 16–23, 2025, the Miami Book Fair, presented by Miami Dade College, returns to Downtown Miami for eight unforgettable days of author conversations, live music, art, and family-friendly fun—transforming the city into a vibrant literary playground.

Nov. 16-23, 2025 — Downtown Miami


Join Miami Book Fair, presented by Miami Dade College, for eight unforgettable days of author conversations, live music, art, and family-friendly fun as Downtown Miami transforms into a literary playground. The nation’s longest-running literary festival features hundreds of writers from around the world, an energetic street fair with booksellers and international food, multicultural programs, and Children’s Alley for young readers. Evenings come alive with special events, performances, and conversations. MIAMI FILM FESTIVAL GEMS

Oct. 29–Nov. 5, 2025 — Various locations across Miami


Miami Film Festival GEMS, presented by Miami Dade College, returns with a dazzling lineup of 40 films from more than 20 countries, opening with No Other Choice directed by Park Chan-wook and closing with Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Once a small off-season showcase, GEMS has become one of the city’s most anticipated film events, drawing top talent and Oscar contenders to the Magic City. This year’s guests include Chan-Wook, Ethan Hawke, Lucy Liu, Dylan O’Brien, and costume designer Mona May (Clueless), among others, for a week of premieres, filmmaker conversations, red carpets, and unforgettable celebrations.miamifilmfestival

LUMINOSA AT JUNGLE ISLAND

Nov. 14, 2025–Mar. 7, 2026 — Jungle Island, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail


Miami’s most spectacular light festival returns to Jungle Island with larger-than-life illuminated lanterns crafted by Chinese artists. At Luminosa, guests journey through mystical landscapes from the Amazon rainforest to a frozen kingdom, brought to life with handcrafted silk lanterns, holograms, animatronics, and interactive storytelling. Paired with a festive Holiday Village, Luminosa transforms Jungle Island into an after-dark wonderland. Adult tickets range from $30.78 on weekdays to $46.88 on weekends. Child tickets (ages 4-12) start at $21.58 and go up to $33.08. The hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. The Holiday Village will also open on November 14 and run through January 4, 2026.luminosamiami

WALTER MERCADO: FE, ESPERANZA Y MUCHO AMOR 

Nov. 15-Dec. 28, 2025 — Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 Red Road


This exhibit is a tribute to the beloved Puerto Rican astrologer and LGBTQ icon, featuring Walter Mercado's iconic capes, original suits, photos and memorabilia. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children (ages 2–17), free for Pinecrest Gardens members and children under 2. pinecrestgardens.org.  



SNEAKER STORIES (Museum of Graffiti collaboration)

Nov. 14, 2025-Feb. 15, 2026 — Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 Red Road


Step into the world of street art and sneaker culture with this exhibition, featuring rare sneakers and bold works by artists Futura, Claw$, Miami’s own ABSTRK, and more. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children (ages 2–17), free for Pinecrest Gardens members and children under 2.pinecrestgardens.org.

TROY ANDERSON & THE HOT FIVE 

Saturday, November 15 — Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 Red Road


Experience an unforgettable evening as Troy “Satchmo” Anderson & The Hot Five bring the legendary music of Louis Armstrong to life in Pinecrest Gardens’ Banyan Bowl. Anderson’s performance captures the vibrant energy and signature voice of one of jazz’s greatest icons. The jazz concert starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $55 for VIP; $50 general. pinecrestgardens.org

SAVE THE DATE: NIGHTS OF LIGHTS 

Dec. 5–28, 2025 (Select nights) — Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 Red Road


Pinecrest Gardens lights up the holidays with Nights of Lights, a family favorite filled with dazzling light displays, live entertainment, and festive fun. Enjoy holiday vendors, sweet treats, signature drinks, Santa photos, carolers, and the Jolly Craft Corner, with themed nights featuring the Grinch, live music, and dance performances. Hours: 6:30–10 p.m. (Sundays Dec. 7, 14, and 28 open 6–9 p.m.). Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children ages 2–17, with a $5 Jolly Craft Corner add-on.pinecrestgardens.org
