Noche de Arte Marks Five Years of Weekly Art Nights at InterContinental Miami

For five years, Monday nights at InterContinental Miami have become a gathering point for artists and visitors in downtown Miami. The weekly series, Noche de Arte, organized by the nonprofit collaboARTive, is marking its fifth anniversary this April with a month of public events and a featured artist residency.

The program began in March 2022 as a space where local artists could create and share their work in an open setting. Each week, artists paint and interact with guests in the hotel lobby, turning the venue into a working studio and community meeting place.

To mark the milestone, Noche de Arte will highlight artist in residence Alice Raymond throughout April. Raymond, who is originally from the Paris region and trained in France, explores themes such as migration, displacement, and ecology. Her work has appeared in museums and galleries internationally.

The anniversary programming begins Monday, April 6 with an opening reception that will bring together artists who have participated in Noche de Arte since its launch. Guests will be able to watch live painting and take part in collaborative art making.

Additional Monday events throughout the month will feature workshops, poetry, and artist conversations.

The schedule includes:

  • April 6: Opening reception and live painting with Alice Raymond, plus a reunion of past Noche de Arte artists

  • April 13: Live painting and an interactive workshop with Raymond

  • April 20: Creative happy hour with the Arts and Business Council, including poetry by Raymond and Avery Crane

  • April 27: Live painting and an artist interview with collaboARTive cofounder Ignacio Font

All events are free and open to the public at InterContinental Miami, located at 100 Chopin Plaza. Visitors can find event details and RSVP at collaboartive.org/nochedearte.

Founded in 2017, collaboARTive works to support emerging and mid career artists in South Florida through studio access, professional development programs, and public events. The organization says more than 500 artists have participated in its programs across Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
