nightLAB: Weird Science at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science



Get ready for a spine-tingling adventure during nightLAB: Weird Science.


Adults 21+ can explore our exhibitions, do experiments, engage with community partners, enjoy spooktacular drinks, and more. Connect with friends and get ready to enjoy science socially.


During the evening, guests can expect:


  • Access to museum exhibitions from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

  • An original spooky Frost Planetarium show, ‘Cosmic Horrors,’ throughout the night (seating is limited; reserve on site)

  • Electrifying STEM interactions with Frost Science educators

  • Drinks and snacks for purchase at the Space_Bar by Constellation Culinary Group

Members: Frost Science Members can purchase up to four tickets at $15.00 per person regardless of membership level entitlements.

Cosmic Horrors: Frost Planetarium, Level 1: 7:40 p.m., 8:20 p.m., 9:40 p.m., 10:20 p.m.Brace yourself for encounters with malevolent black holes, eerie cosmic phantoms, and spine-tingling secrets that haunt the celestial realm. In space, no one can hear you scream….


Telescope Viewing: RooftopJoin museum experts on the rooftop terrace to observe the full Moon, Saturn and other bright objects in the October night sky. (weather permitting)


Science of Survival: Power of Science, Level 1: 7:30 p.m., 9:45 p.m.Have you ever gotten caught going a little…off-script at work? It can get weird when you work with explosives! Watch our team flaunt lab safety rules and learn the consequences in the Science of Survival stage show.


CSI: Frost Science: Terrace, Level 3Channel your inner detective to learn how crimes are solved with analysis from real forensic scientists including Dr. Sharon Plotkin of Miami Dade College, Dr. Bruce McCord of FIU’s Global Forensic and Justice Center, Dr. Steven Lee from San Jose State University and their expert staff!


Fog Bubbles: Atrium, Level 1: 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.Create glowing, fog-filled bubbles using dry ice and watch them burst into a mesmerizing fluorescent fog under blacklight. Trippy!
