New World Symphony Opens 2026–27 Season and Announces Return of Miami WALLCAST Concerts
New World Symphony in Miami Beach has opened ticket sales for its 2026–27 season and confirmed the return of its free outdoor WALLCAST concerts at SoundScape Park.
The 2026–27 season will feature collaborations between NWS Fellows and visiting artists, including Stéphane Denève leading Ravel’s “Boléro,” Anne Akiko Meyers performing Arturo Márquez’s mariachi-inspired Violin Concerto, and a performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Master Chorale of South Florida at New World Center.
The season will also include a new Billy Childs concerto for flute and clarinet with brothers Anthony and Demarre McGill, a program titled “Strange Magic: Ravel + Stravinsky” pairing Stravinsky’s ballet burlesque with Ravel’s one-act opera, and the return of Grammy-winning conductor Jeannette Sorrell leading Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos.
WALLCAST concerts are scheduled to resume in the coming months with Denève and Conducting Fellow Ziwei Ma leading free live performances, joined by guest soloists including violinist James Ehnes, Time for Three, soprano Isabel Leonard, pianist Gabriela Montero and saxophonist Steven Banks.
Supported by the City of Miami Beach and its General Obligation Bond Program, the WALLCAST experience now features 4K ultra high-definition projection and an energy-efficient audio system designed to provide greater clarity, depth and dynamic range.
