New World Symphony Highlights Audience Favorites for 2026–27 Miami Season

New World Symphony has highlighted a group of concerts that are drawing early interest for its 2026–27 season in Miami, including programs built around Ravel’s Boléro, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Mozart’s Requiem and a holiday program, alongside pre-season performances and public tours.
Artistic Director Stéphane Denève will open the season October 3 and 4 with a program featuring Ravel’s Boléro and a “musical globe-trot,” with violinist Anne Akiko Meyers performing Arturo Márquez’s mariachi-inspired violin concerto. On October 10 and 11 Denève joins New World Symphony Fellows and the Master Chorale of South Florida for performances of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, bringing the “Ode to Joy” to Miami Beach.
On November 14 New World Symphony and the Master Chorale of South Florida reunite at the Adrienne Arsht Center for a one-night performance of Mozart’s Requiem, and on December 19 the orchestra presents its “Sounds of the Season” program, a family-focused holiday concert with festive music from around the world.
Ahead of the official season, audiences can hear New World Symphony Fellows in pre-season events, including a concert where guitarist JIJI performs Joaquín Rodrigo’s Guitar Concerto and another program featuring Shostakovich and Stravinsky chamber symphonies, as well as in-person docent-led tours of New World Center on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m., which last up to one hour and require advance booking.
