This week, the New World Symphony pays tribute to legendary film composer John Williams with a live orchestral concert at the Adrienne Arsht Center on Saturday, October 18, at 8 p.m. Led by Artistic Director Stéphane Denève, the performance will feature unforgettable scores from Harry Potter, E.T., Star Wars, and more. Limited tickets remain, with a few $99 seats recently released in the orchestra’s front rows.

Next week, the Symphony returns to New World Center with acclaimed violinist Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. Denève will also conduct Florence Price’s Third Symphony, a rediscovered modernist masterpiece originally commissioned by the WPA during the Great Depression.

This past weekend, Martin Beaver, first violin of the renowned Tokyo String Quartet, joined the Symphony Fellows for an afternoon of chamber music. The concert earned praise from South Florida Classical Review for its “visceral power and energy,” highlighting the Fellows’ artistry and ensemble excellence.
