New World Symphony Announces September Pay-What-You-Wish Concerts and Season Opening in Miami Beach
New World Symphony will welcome new and returning Fellows back to Miami Beach in September with a series of pre-season concerts that invite audiences to choose their own ticket price, leading into the 2026-27 season opening in early October.
On September 19 at 7:30 p.m., guitarist JIJI will perform Rodrigo’s Guitar Concerto in a program that highlights the sunny gardens of Aranjuez, the historic palace that inspired one of the most recognizable works in the guitar repertoire.
The pre-season continues on September 26 at 7:30 p.m. with a chamber program featuring Shostakovich and Stravinsky chamber symphonies, as new and returning Fellows showcase a range of orchestral voices.
New World Symphony’s official season opening will take place with performances of Ravel’s Boléro on October 3 at 7:30 p.m. and October 4 at 2:00 p.m., as Artistic Director Stéphane Denève leads a program that moves from a spiritual pilgrimage in the Sierra Madre to Debussy’s visions of Spain before culminating in Ravel’s iconic score.
