New World Symphony Announces Pay-What-You-Wish Concerts in September

New World Symphony will open its new season in mid-September with a series of pay-what-you-wish concerts in Miami, giving audiences flexible pricing for select one-night-only performances.
The initiative allows attendees to choose their ticket price, including options such as 10 or 50 dollars, while supporting New World Symphony Fellows and the institution’s mission to rethink how orchestral music is presented and shared.
On September 19, guitarist JIJI will perform Joaquín Rodrigo’s celebrated Guitar Concerto, which was inspired by the gardens of the Royal Palace of Aranjuez.
A second concert on September 26 will feature new and returning Fellows in a pre-season chamber program built around chamber symphonies by Dmitri Shostakovich and Igor Stravinsky, highlighting a range of orchestral colors and styles.
