New World Symphony Announces 2026–27 Season Programming

New World Symphony has set out plans for its 2026–27 season in Miami Beach, presenting a mix of established repertoire and contemporary works designed to showcase its Fellows alongside leading guest artists.
The season will include performances of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Ravel’s Boléro and Mozart’s Requiem, together with works by living composers such as Billy Childs, Kevin Puts, Thomas Adès, Gabriela Ortiz, Carlos Simon and Anna Clyne.
Program highlights feature James Ehnes performing Prokofiev’s Violin Concertos Nos. 1 and 2, Stéphane Denève conducting Brahms’ Third Symphony and Mahler’s First Symphony, a program of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos with Baroque specialist Jeannette Sorrell, and a concert of music by Gershwin, Adams and Guillaume Connesson with saxophonist Steven Banks.
Alongside the concert season, the New World Center, designed by architect Frank Gehry, will continue to offer in-person docent-led tours on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m., lasting 45 to 60 minutes and priced at $15 per person, with advance booking required.
